The Theological-Mystical Dimension of Hope in the Thought of St. Bonaventure

Sažetak
Rad obrađuje teološko-mističnu dimenziju kreposti nade u misli sv. Bonaventure, smještajući je u kontekst biblijske i skolastičke filozofsko-teološke misli. Naglašava se da je nada usmjerena prema ispunjenju Božjih obećanja i vječnom blaženstvu, a u sadašnjosti djeluje kao oslonac i snaga u kušnjama. Bonaventura je prikazuje kao sidro i temelj svih drugih nadnaravnih vrlina, koja otvara dušu božanskoj velikodušnosti, nadilazi iskustvene granice i potiče rast u vjeri i ljubavi. Posebno se razmatra nada u oproštenje unatoč grešnosti, utemeljena na Božjoj dobroti, Kristovim otajstvima i zagovoru svetaca, osobito Blažene Djevice Marije. Na kraju, rad ističe da će na putu vjernika prema vječnosti nada ustupiti mjesto potpunom gledanju Boga.

Abstract
This study examines the virtue of hope in the thought of St. Bonaventure, highlighting its role as an essential force in the growth and flourishing of the spiritual life. Rooted in divine generosity and anchored in God’s unwavering fidelity to His promises, hope assures the forgiveness of sins, elevates the soul above all transient realities, and orients it entirely toward Christ in His mysteries of suffering and glory. Shaped by the Franciscan spirit of perfect joy, the vision of God as the Supreme Good, and a distinctive Christocentrism marked by joyful realism in the face of human weakness, hope emerges as both a sustaining anchor and a dynamic impetus for the pilgrim soul. Ultimately, it accompanies the believer toward the heavenly homeland, where it yields to the direct vision of God.
